Plaque Craster 1836-1922 Holy Trinity
In Holy Trinity Church is a plaque which carries the name of Craster with an apostrophe in it, and the mis-spelling of the word "Siege":

of Craster Tower, born at
Preston Tower, Northumberland
On 26th September 1836.
He served in the Indian Mutiny
Being present throughout the
Seige of Delhi 1857,
Also in the N.W. Frontier
Campaigns of 1858 and 1860
And the Afghan War 1879.
He died at Beadnell Hall
On 5th February 1922.
Also of
Mary Joanna
His wife, eldest daughter of
Thomas Cowper Hincks
Of Breckenbrough Yorkshire
Who died at Beadnell Hall on
24th June 1908 in her 72nd year.
