The final balance sheet of Lemington Soldiers and Sailors' Welcome Home Fund states that the income has been £1,803.1s.7½d, and there is a credit balance of £25.7s 4d. which will be held in case of further claims being made on the fund. Should there be no legitimate claimant this sum will be handed over to the Lemington War Memorials fund. This memorial will be a dwelling-house for the district nurse, with accommodation for urgent cases. Premises have been purchased in Union Hall Road, and will be prepared for accommodation of the nurse as soon as possible."
