C.W.S. Welcome Home Dinner
The Newcastle Daily Chronicle 08/03/1920 reports a dinner and Welcome Home to returned soldiers and sailors and reunion of the employees of the Co-operative Wholesale Society Ltd., furniture and hardware department in the Savoy Restaurant, Newcastle.

51 men from the department out of a total of 90 had signed up.

Two men who had fallen were named as:

The following were presented with one of the following: a silver cigarette case; walking stick; safety razor, or a pipe (in a case):
