The Newcastle Daily Chronicle 08/01/1920 reports a Welcome Home event for the Grainger Social Club, Grainger Sports & Social Club, 6 Graingerville South, Westgate Road given to members who returned from the Great War. The supper, dance and entertainment was held in the Brighton Assembly Rooms. Newcastle.

During the proceedings, a silence was held in honour of four members who fell.

The award of suitably inscribed gold medals was made to the following members who had returned from the Great War:
