Boilermakers Society Welcome Home
The Newcastle Daily Chronicle 28/05/1920 reports on a social evening held at the R.A.O.B, Jarrow to welcome back 61 members who had served.

8 members had lost their lives.

Gifts of pipes, cigarette holders, wallets were presented to those who returned, and gifts would be made to the families of those who fell.

Four members had gained distinctions.

Jarrow No. 2 Branch was the only one in the society which had raised a levy to pay contributions to those who were serving. Approx. £759 had been contributed, of which over £500 were absent members' contributions.

Gifts valued at £110 had been made to the wives of soldier members.
