In St. Lawrence's Church is a plaque which is dedicated to the memory of Mrs Gladstone She had given three bells, electrical timing apparatus and electric light as a memorial to Capt T. A. Gladstone A.F.C., who had been killed while flying in Drakenberg Mountains, Natal, in 1931.
