Presentation to organiser of parcels to POWs 1919
The Newcastle Daily Chronicle 30/05/1919 reports the following:

"Mr. J.R. Storey, of Sunderland, who was in charge of the scheme for the provision of parcels to Durham Light Infantry prisoners of war, has been presented by the Mayor of Sunderland on behalf of the subscribers of the town with a handsomely-carved oak grandfather clock with chimes. the presentation included a gold wristlet watch for his secretary, Miss Stewart."
