Great Britain celebrated the signing of the Peace Treaty on Saturday July 19th 1919. After this many places in the following weeks also had Victory celebrations.

TheChester-le-Street Chronicle 25/07/1919 reports that "a fireworks display took place at 10 o'clock and a splendid bonfire was lit at 11 o'clock bringing to a close a most enjoyable day."
