Fund raising 1919
The Auckland Chronicle 30/10/1919 gives a full report on a bazaar held on 15th October in St. Helen's Auckland Council School in aid of the West Auckland War Heroes' Fund. Lady Eden of Windlestone Hall opened the event. As well as stalls, a concert was held. The event raised more than £500.

Collections throughout the year raised a further £400.
