Maximilian Kolbe, 1894-1941
The August and September 2012 Summer Issue of Parish News published by St.Helen's Church carries the story of Maximilian Kolbe, a Parish priest in Poland who served the Polish Christians during 1939-45. He was executed by the Nazis in 1941 after offering his own life for that of another man.
