OUR LOCAL WARRIORS

THE PROPOSED PUBLIC WELCOME

We have been asked to publish the list of names of the local soldiers of all ranks and regiments who have returned from the war, which have been so far sent in to Dr. F.H. Morison, one of the honorary secretaries of the Town’s Committee, formed to promote the public recognition of the warriors.

The list is believed to be incomplete, and the friends and relatives of soldiers whose names do not appear below are required to communicate with Dr. F.H. Morison at once, so that a complete list may be laid before the general committee next week. The names of soldiers who have fallen in the field, or died in Hospital, or who are still in South Africa, or on the way home, or who are leaving for the front, are entitled to appear in the list.
