Coxon, T.A., A/Smn., 1915
In Twelve Tree Copse Cemetery, Turkey, is the Commonwealth War Grave of Tyneside Z/4343 Able Seaman Thomas Aynsley Coxon, serving with the Nelson Battalion Royal Naval Division, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, who died 18/11/1915.

Colin Boyd has provided the following:

Thomas was born on 7th August 1896. He was working as a miner living with his parents, Phillip and Margaret Ellen at 15, Prudhoe Street, Backworth when he enlisted in the RNVR on 1st May 1915. He joined the Nelson Battalion on 21st September 1915 and served in Gallipoli until he was killed in action on 18th November 1915.

Morpeth Herald 16/11/1917 carries a brief obituary:
ROLL OF HONOUR
COXON.- Killed at Cape Hallas [sic], on Nov. 18th, Thomas Aysley [sic] Coxon, A.B., R.N.D., dearly beloved son of Philip Y. and M.E. Coxon, of 15 Prudhoe Street, Backworth.- (Ever remembered by his loving father, mother, brother and sister, cousin Hannah, and grandmother, and all friends who knew him).
