In Ryhope Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave, with a private headstone,  of K/40903 Stoker Second Class Alfred George Myers serving on HMS Victory with the Royal Navy  who died 03/03/1917.

He was the son of George and Ada I. Myers, 21, Grey Terrace, Ryhope

The headstone reads:

In loving memory
of
Alfred George
dearly beloved son of
George & Ada Myers
who died March 3rd 1917 aged 18 years

also the above George Myers….

 Alfred George Myers  is remembered at Ryhope on R52.01and R52.02, at Sunderland in S140.48 Part 8 page 159 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
