Notes: 1. In the Bondgate chapel, unusually, there are 6 stained glass windows to the fallen in the 1914-18 war. These were all from other Methodist chapels in the town, which became redundant and were demolished.
Upstairs, the two forward windows are a pair taken from the old Greenbank Chapel. The back two are from Rise Carr, Bondgate Chapel, including the personal memorial to Christopher Chipchase given by his parents. The two side windows downstairs came from Corporation Road”.
2. There were two windows unveiled on the same day. See D40.82. Both depicted scenes from Pilgrim’s Progress. This one was given Pte. Chipchase’s parents.
