In Chapelle British Cemetery, Holnon, Aisne, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 43103 Lance Corporal Thomas Blair, D.C.M., serving with the 2nd Battalion Durham Light Infantry who died 01/09/1918.

Husband of Mrs. S. E. Blair, of 35, Weardale St., Mount Pleasant, Spennymoor, Co. Durham.

In Spennymoor (Tudhoe) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:-

In loving memory of Sarah Ellen
dearly beloved wife of the late
L/Cpl. T. Blair D.C.M., 1914-18
died November 7th 1945
Also Sub.Lieut. James Taylorson
Killed in his country's service
dearly beloved grandson of the above.

DLI Book gives 18th September 1918 as deathdate.
