The son of Thomas and Caroline Armstrong, of Newtown, Cramlington and the husband of Ann Armstrong.

The CWGC entry gives his rank as “Ordinary Seaman” but the headstone reads “Able Seaman”.

Thomas Armstrong is remembered at Cramlington on C60.03 and C60.13 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
