SPORTING OBITUARY.
DEATH OF A WELL-KNOWN FOOTIALL PLAYER.
There has just died suddenly at 78, The Avenue, Wallsend, Jack Stanley Allan, eldest son of Ald. Allan, Wallsend. The deceased was a prominent North Country athlete, having played for Sunderland A and Newcastle United, and had only returned from France a little over a fortnight ago. The interment will take place at Wallsend Cemetery on Tuesday. A service will be held in St. Luke Church at 3 o’clock.
