Unveiled 7th July 1922 by Lady Hunter, wife of Sir G.B. Hunter;
dedicated by Bishop Taylor Smith, C.B., C.V.O., D.D., Chaplain General to the Forces.

Materials Used:

Brass on ?pinewood pattress.

Cost:

Window and plaque £800

Present Condition: A few of the letters are blurred, apparently due to patches where the lacquer has gone, otherwise good.

Memorial Description:

Plaque 51 inches high x 24 inches wide (130cms x 62cms) on oak pattress which accompanies stained glass window, see W7.20

There is a single red line wide border around the edge.

There are one or two patterned lines in red enamel.

The dedication is in Roman black capitals.

The names are listed in four columns using sans serif upper case lettering.

Underneath is another small panel with an elaborate black single line border which bears a further five names.

The names on both plaques are in sans serif capitals.
