In Malta (Capuccini) Naval Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of The Rev. George Anthony Grieg, Chaplain, serving on H.M.S. Russell with the Royal Navy who died 28/04/1916.

The son of Hunter Hepburn Greig and Phoebe Jane Greig, of 30, Luttrell Avenue, Putney, London. He was born at Perth. He was educated at Denstone College, Durham University and Edinburgh Theological College. He had gained a B.A.

George Anthony Grieg is remembered at Durham in D47.151 page 38 and D47.153 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
