of the brave and great men who have died for you
on sea and land, that God will grant them Mercy,
Light, Rest and Peace.

Memorial Description:

Plaque 28 inches high x 10 inches wide (71cms x 25cms).

It is comprised of a wood frame on which are set three different items.

At centre top is a plaque bearing names.

It has a red cross at the top with the words “Roll of Honour” and the quotation underneath.

The names are listed in a single column below, with the inscription at the bottom.

In the centre is a page 12 inches high x 10 inches wide (30cms x 25cms) from a book giving details of the fallen from 1914-18.

At the bottom is a page 7½ inches high x 9½  inches wide (19cms x 24cms) giving details of the fallen from 1939-45.

Lettering is Old English through, with the names having red initials.

The exhortation at the bottom is in Roman italics.
