In Lyness Royal Naval Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of P/MX48455 Petty Officer Cook George Moscrop, serving on H.M.S. Brissenden  with the Royal Navy, who died 08/12/1943.

The son of James and Elizabeth Moscrop, of Bedlington Station, Northumberland.

His brother Thomas is also remembered at Bedlington Station.
