On Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Cabin Boy Frank Tomaselli Cuthbert, serving on M.V. Neptunian (Newcastle upon Tyne) with the Merchant Navy who died 07/09/1940.

The son of William Hills Cuthbert and Elizabeth Henrietta Cuthbert, of North Shields, Northumberland.

The Shields Daily News 04/12/1940 reports:-
Memorial Service
A Memorial Service is to be held on Sunday at St. Augustin’s Church for George and Frank Cuthbert, of Coburg Street. North Shields.

Frank Cuthbert, a 16-years-old cabin boy, lost his life when his ship was sunk by enemy action. and his 20-years-old brother died as the result of an accident at a West of England port.

They are the sons of Mr and Mrs W. H. Cuthbert.

The service will be conducted by Rev. T. Douglas (Vicar), and will start at 3 p.m.
