On Plymouth Naval Memorial is the name of Petty Officer Edmund William Hogarth, serving on H.M.S. Kite with the Royal Navy who died 21/08/1944.

He was the son of William Edward and Jessica Hogarth and the husband of Mildred Anne Hogarth, of Whitley Bay, Northumberland.
