In 1939 the family were living at 18 St Aidan’s Crescent Annfield Plain, Edward Henry born 1898 was a bus driver, Mary born 1890 was fulfilling household duties and Edward Henry Junior born October 2nd 1924 was still at school.

By 1943 the family had moved to 18 New Durham Road Annfield Plain and father Edward Henry was a coach proprietor.

Edward Henry Carr is remembered at Annfield Plain on A38.01 and A38.09, at Beamish on B162.06,  at Newcastle on NUT136,  at Tanfield Lea on T63.05 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
