On Lowestoft Naval Memorial is the name of Lieutenant Dryden Byrne Phillipson, serving on H.M. Trawler Northern Princess (on loan to U.S. Navy) with the Royal Naval Reserve who died 07/03/1942.

He was the son of Dryden and Eva Blanche Phillipson and the husband of Eleanor Phillipson, of Fenham, Newcastle upon Tyne.
