  War Memorial Record

  In this volume are

  recorded the names

  of the men of the

  County Borough of

  West Hartlepool; who gave their

  lives for King and Country in

  the Great War 1914; -1919;

  “Their name liveth for ever more”

  The preparation of this list was begun in the early

  days of the war and all particulars have been most

  carefully checked by every available method. The work

  was attended by very considerable difficulty but in its

  present form it appears to be as complete as humanly it

  is possible to make it.
