Morpeth Herald 26/01/1917 carries a brief obituary:

ROLL OF HONOUR

PITCHFORD.- Missing since July 10th, 1916, now reported killed, Private Albert Pitchford, aged 21 years, fifth son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Pitchford, of 6 Leslie Row, Radcliffe, Acklington.- Ever remembered and mourned by his sister and brother, Hannah and Jos. Bell.

Morpeth Herald 24/08/1917 carries the following:

News has been received that Private Albert Pitchford has been killed in action in France. He joined the ranks at the outbreak of war. He had previously been wounded.

He is remembered at Amble on A13.07 at Radcliffe on R32.01 and at Alnwick in A11.56Alnwick Gazette Almanack 1918, page 43, incorrectly, and on page 62
