BEDLINGTON STATION

Taylor, G.H., Pte., 1916
In Moyenneville (Two Tree) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 42180 Private George Henry Taylor, serving with the West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own) who died 27/03/1918.

George is named on the CWGC as George Heary, but is Henry in birth and Census records.. George was born in 1898 in Bedlington, the second son of Frederick and Lilian Taylor of 121 North Row Bedlington Station. He is buried in Moyenville (Two Tree) Cemetery near Arras. Of almost 50 graves here 20 are unidentified and nearly all belong to 15th West Yorkshire Regiment who held out at Moyenville for 36 hours in March 1918.

George and his brother Arthur are remembered in Bedlington Station on B163.04 and in Bedlington on B15.06
