In Bard Cottage Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 142952 Gunner George Graham serving with the Royal Garrison Artillery, who died 07/11/1917.

In Newcastle (St. John Westgate & Elswick) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

dearly beloved husband of
Hannah Graham
who died Feb.16th July 1915,
aged 60,
and
in affectionate remembrance
of their dear son
George
beloved husband of
Florence N. Graham
who was killed in action in France
on Nov.7th 1917, aged 30
and
in loving memory of
our dear mother
Hannah
beloved wife of above
George James Graham
who died Sept.16th 1939, aged 86.
Thy will be done.

George was the second son of Hannah and the late George James. He was the husband of Florence (nee Kitching), of 51 Hartington Street, Newcastle, whom he married in the 1st Quarter of 1916 at Newcastle upon Tyne.

He served with the 375th Siege Battery and is buried in a shared grave at Bard Cottage Cemetery (VI.B.II), West Flanders, Belgium.
