In Wancourt British Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of Second Lieutenant Andrew Tate, serving with the 24th (Tyneside Irish) Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 20/01/1918.

Morpeth Herald 01/02/1918 carries a brief obituary:

Second-Lieut. Tate, N.F., youngest son of Mr [Andrew] and Mrs [Leah] Tate, 49 Woodbine Road, Gosforth, was killed in action on January 20th.

He is remembered at Gosforth on G9.21, G9.22, G9.23 and G9.30
