This reredos is erected to the glory of God and in grateful memory of / those from this Parish who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-19

Memorial Description:

Reredos of ten panels, each 78 inches high x 42 inches wide (198cms x 107cms), five on each side of the altar.

The two outer panels were blank, but have now been used to commemorate those from 1939-45 (See S51.03).

The dedication is carved right along the top of both sets of panels, the lettering carved to stand proud in Gothic script.

At the top of each of the panels is a regimental badge painted in full colour, beneath which is a name of one of the fallen, incised in black Gothic lettering.
