Plaque, 50 inches high x 60 inches wide (127cms x 152cms) with shallow pedimented top.

At centre top the words “Roll of Honour” have the badges of the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force painted below.

The names are listed in four columns divided by vertical lines.

The Binyon quotation is at the bottom, with another badge to its left.

All lettering and badges are painted in gilt with black shadowing.

Lettering is in Roman capitals throughout apart from the Binyon quotation which is in lower case.

A small plate 4 inches high x 8 inches wide (10cms x 20cms) is underneath the plaque, which gives details of the unveiling.

The two dates “1914-18” and “1939-45” are on small boards above the top corners of the plaque.

1. The names were copied from the monument (S128.02) in case it was ever damaged.
