Joseph Burden was the son of Joseph and Frances Burden, of North Shields and the husband of Lillian Burden, of North Shields

H.M.S. Walpole was sold for scrap in 1945.

Joseph Burden is remembered at North Shields on N34.23, at Tynemouth on T36.01, on both of which his name is spelled “Burdon”, and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
