On the Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Fireman Herbert Reah, serving on S.S. Archbank (Newcastle) with the Mercantile Marine who died 06/06/1918.

The son of John and Alice Reah and the husband of Hannah Bella Reah (nee Barrass), of 21, Holmside Place, Blyth, Northumberland. He was born at Sunderland.

Herbert Reah is remembered at Blyth on B42.01  and possibly as Reah B. (Bert ??) on B42.24,  at Sunderland on S140.041 and in S140.48 Part 8 page 176 and  in our List of Ships’ Crews.
