Unveiled 9th April 1924 by Capt. S.K. Sargent, Chairman of the Tyne Pilotage Authority.
Memorial Description
Three lancet windows in stained glass.
Centre light depicts Christ on the cross, with a soldier and a woman and child kneeling at the foot, while a sailor holds his hat over his heart whilst gazing upwards.
Left light depicts St. Stephen with the scene of his stoning below.
Right light depicts St. Paul, with the scene of his shipwreck below.
The dedications are at the bottom of the two outer lights, in black paint on clear glass using Gothic script.

Right hand light:
In loving memory of the brave Pilots
and crew of the Cutter Protector
which was sunk by enemy action.
Left hand light :
On Sunday morning December 31st 1916.
