Stained Glass Window Morgan Bros. 1914-18 Wesleyan Methodist
Wesleyan Methodist Church, Station Road.
This church is now a private dwelling. It is thought this window may be lost.
Unveiled and dedicated 1st-2nd June 1922 by Mr. J.G. Atkinson, dedicated by Rev. C. Wilson.
Stained glass window, designed to look like parchment with curled edges. The lettering throughout is in Gothic.

The Diamond family.
1. The main war memorial window was unveiled on 1st-2nd June 1922. The whole church had been refurbished and rededicated that weekend. It is therefore seems safe to assume that this window was dedicated at the same time.
2. This window was located on the left hand side of the entrance porch. When the building was being renovated, the windows were removed for repair, and have never been seen since! The design was exactly the same as the existing window on the right hand side of the entrance porch. See

3. The building is now a private residence called 'Diamond' House.
4. Elliot E. Morgan was born in Lanchester, Co Durham. He enlisted in Durham and resided in Chester-le-Street. He died 01/09/1915 in France and Flanders. He is remembered on

5. John William Morgan was born in Annfield Plain, Co Durham. He enlisted and resided at Chester-le-Street. He died at home 23/12/1916. He is also remembered on
