William John Neate was the son of the late James and Sarah Neate, of Bristol. He was married to Eliza Neate, of 62, Ravensworth St., Millfield, Sunderland.

He served on H.M.S. Carmania which was sunk in May 1916, so William John Neale must have died from another cause.

William John Neate is remembered at Monkwearmouth on M46.30, at Sunderland in S140.48 Part 8 page 159 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
