The Alnwick Guardian and County Advertiser 08/03/1919 reports:-
Barton-on-Humber, on the 20th Feb., aged 30 (from disease contracted while cruising in African waters), Wm, Winstanley, E:R.A., Royal Navy, eldest son of the late Chief Officer W. Winstanley, of Newton by the Sea and Berwick on Tweed. “Duty Done”

William Henry Winstanley is remembered at Embleton on E27.05 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
