In South Shields (Harton) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of Fireman William Pigott, serving with the Merchant Navy, who died 22/02/1947.

The son of Thomas and Mary Pigott, of South Shields and the husband of Mary Alice Pigott, of Ulgham, Northumberland.

William Pigott  is remembered at Westoe in W101.08 page 65 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
