The Stockton Herald, South Durham and Cleveland Advertiser 15/01/1916 reports:-
BEAN William beloved husband of Margaret Bean, 13 Beech Street Stockton killed by explosion on H.M.S. Natal December 30th Mourned by his sorrowing wife and all friends
“He did his duty.”
