Thomas Walter was born on 7th February 1881 at Bangalore, India. He was the husband of Mary Ann of 1 West Street, Newcastle upon Tyne.

According to the 1939 Register he was employed as a Chimney Sweep and also did R.P. Training.

He was formerly 6759, Private, Durham Light Infantry, enlisting on 16th June 1891. Thomas died at home from illness.
