On Chatham Naval Memorial is the name of K/17937 Stoker First Class Thomas Forster Rennison, serving on H.M. Submarine E30 with the Royal Navy who died 22/11/1916.

He was the son of Jane Rennison, of 3, Pottergate Place, Alnwick, Northumberland, and the late Forster Charlton Rennison.

In Alnwick Churchyard is a family headstone which reads:

In loving memory of
Forster Charlton,
beloved husband of
Jane Rennison, who died
Jan. 28. 1916, aged 69 years.

Also of Georgina,
their daughter, who died
May 19, 1907, aged 22 years.

Also of Thomas Forster,
their son, H.M.S. E.30
who was lost at sea. Nov.22, 1916
aged 21 years.

Also of the above
Jane Rennison
who died Feb. 25, 1929
aged 68 years.

Thomas Forster Rennison is remembered at Alnwick on A11.01, A11.03,  A11.09,  A11.22, A 11.30 and A11.56 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
