On Chatham Naval Memorial is the name of Tyneside Z/8704 Leading Seaman Thomas Davidson, serving on S.S. Darius with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 13/06/1917.

His wife was Jessie c/o Mrs Cooper 230, Pilgrim Street, Newcastle on Tyne and later of 76 Boulevard Emile, Jagmain, Bruselles Nord, Belgium and 8 Third Avenue, Pennygate, Spalding Lincs.

Thomas Davidson is remembered in the Mercantile Marine Roll of Honour 1917 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
