On Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Cook Thomas Appleby, serving on Steam Trawler Reaper (North Shields) with the Mercantile Marine who died 21/02/1918.

The son of the late Thomas and Catherine Appleby and the husband of Ann Appleby (nee Davison), of 7, Stewarts Buildings, Bird Street, North Shields. He was born at North Shields.
