In Newcastle upon Tyne (West Road) Crematorium is the Commonwealth War Grave of Storekeeper Reginald Ogilvy Downie, D.C.M., serving on M.V. British Petrol (London)  with the Merchant Navy who died 23/03/1946.

He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal in WW1.

Reginald Ogilvy Downie is remembered at Newcastle on NUT062,  at Wallsend on W7.19 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
