He was the husband of Thomasina McAllister Arnott, of 15, Northumberland Street, North Shields.  He died of illness,

His wife was Thomasina Dignan. Her marriage to Robert John Arnott was registered in Quarter 1 of 1910 in Tynemouth District. She later married William McAllister. That marriage was registered in Quarter 2 of 1920, also in Tynemouth District).  Robert’s parents were William and Mary Ann Arnott (maiden name Lee).
