On Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Second Radio Officer Ronald Davison serving on S.S. Warlaby (West Hartlepool) with the Merchant Navy who died 12/02/1941.

He was the son of Robert and Catherine E. Davison of Chester le Street.

In St.  John’s Churchyard, Elswick is a family headstone which reads:

my dear husband
Robert Davison
who died 17th April 1933
aged 47 years.

Also of Ronald
son of the above
2nd Radio Officer S.S. Warlaby
lost in action 12th Feb. 1941
aged 18 years.

Also Catherine Elizabeth
wife of the above Robert
who died 27th May 1964
aged 72 years
