In Seaham Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave, with private headstone of K/24229 Stoker 1st Class Robert Clint serving with the Royal Navy on HMS Titania who died 17/04/1918.

The headstone reads:

In loving memory of
Robert,
the beloved husband of
Emma Clint,
who was accidentally drowned
from H.M.S. “Titania”
April 17th 1918, aged 36 years.

Also Emma Clint,
beloved wife of the above,
died Aug.26th 1972, aged 88 years.

Jane, beloved wife of
William Clint,
died July 17th 1920, aged 66 years.

Also the above
William Clint,
who died Dec. 12th 1926,
aged 71 years.

 Robert Clint  is remembered at Seaham on S117.08, and on our List of Ships’ Crews.
