In Tynemouth (Preston) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of 924/ES Engineman Nicholas Lumsden Reddy, serving on H.M.T. Stewart Boyle with the Royal Naval Reserve who died 12/02/1918.

The headstone reads:

In loving memory
of
Nicholas L.,
the beloved husband of
Hannah M. Reddy,
who died on active service
Feb. 12th. 1919, aged 50 years.

Also of the above
Hannah Maria Reddy
who died June 3rd 1929
aged 58 years.

He was the son of Mary and the late Nicholas Lumsden Reddy, and the husband of Hannah Maria Reddy, of 9, Princes Street, North Shields

Nicholas Lumsden Reddy is remembered at North Shields on N34.22 and N34.77,  at Tynemouth on T36.14 page 22 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
