On Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Master Laurence Robert Anderson, serving on M.V. Oilfield (Newcastle upon Tyne) with the Merchant Navy who died 28/04/1941.

The Shetland Times 09/11/1940 reports:-
ANDERSON.—At Allenheads, Northumberland, on 29th October, 1940, Annie, wife of Capt. L. R. Anderson, of 1 Holmfield Avenue, South Shields, and of Braemar, South Road, Lerwick. —inserted by Mrs Anderson and Mary, in loving remembrance.
ANDERSON.—At Allenheads, Northumberland, on 29th October, 1940, Sarah Annie, aged 47 years, of 1 Holmfield Avenue, South Shields, dearly loved wife of Laurence Robert Anderson (master mariner), and eldest daughter of Jemima and the late George Leask.

His Probate Records give his address as Resting Hill, Allenheads.
